Baltics Rank #1 in the Index of Attractiveness of the Stock Option Treatment

Lithuania together with other Baltic countries, took the first place in the index of attractiveness of stock option treatment announced by venture capital firm Index Ventures.

This means that in Lithuania, the legal and tax environment for companies to provide options to their employees is the most competitive from the international standpoint. The latest ranking included 20 European and 4 other countries. Lithuania's attractiveness was also determined by an amendment to the Law on Personal Income Taxes that came into force on February 2020, expanding the base of non-taxable income.
