Baltic Startup Scene Report 2018/2019

A bit about the Startup Report

For the second year in a row, we’re thrilled to be able to bring you the Baltic Startup Report in collaboration with EIT Digital. Rarely is the Baltic startup ecosystem looked at as a whole, and then benchmarked against the surrounding region. We’ve done just that. We believe that the Baltic region has a great deal to offer and that by laying it out on a platter, we’re able to shed more light on the region itself, draw attention to it as a promising environment, and bring the best to investors and startups alike.

Hence we, Startup Wise Guys and EIT Digital, came up with this report. We believe that by understanding where the Baltics stand compared to neighbouring regions, such as the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), we’re able to provide more precise insight to the state of the region, its progress, its potential, and ultimately, it’s status in the world of startups.

Some highlights

This report is a collection of various data and angles of the startup ecosystems within the Baltic states. It provides an overview of the situation at hand regarding absolute numbers in funding as well as benchmarking against other regions, as well as dives deeper into important topics such as startup visa regulations, women in tech, corporate innovation, and more. The report contains curated as well as unique content, both qualitative and quantitative.

In this report you’ll discover:

  • the latest data in startup funding in the region
  • the Baltics’ position in a larger regional context
