According to Invest Europe data*, €100 million of venture capital funding was invested into the Central and Eastern Europe region, matching 2015’s result and comprising 6% of the region’s total private equity investments by value. With 233 CEE companies receiving VC backing, it’s the third largest number on record and represents 69% of the total number of all CEE private equity backed companies invested in 2016.
